Getting Started

SewersOnline is a browser-based septic system design application. It runs entirely in your web browser — no software installation required.

Logging In

Enter your User ID and Password on the login screen. These credentials are the ones you chose when your account was created.

Login Options

  • Remember credentials — stores your user ID and password in the browser so you don’t have to re-enter them each time
  • Auto login — automatically logs you in when you open the application (requires “Remember credentials” to be enabled)

Demo Mode

Demo mode provides sample data and full access to the design wizard, but designs cannot be saved or purchased. A disclaimer is shown when entering demo mode.

If you don’t have an account, you can ask BJSoftware for access to explore the application in demo mode.

Password Reset

Contact BJSoftware if you need a password reset.

After logging in, the main screen enables navigation buttons for each area of the application:

Invoices Open the Invoice Manager to manage client billing and payments
Personas Open the Persona Editor to create and edit designer profiles
Account Open Account Settings to update your contact information and password

First-Time Setup

1. Set Up Your Persona

Before creating your first design, configure your designer persona:

  1. Click Personas on the main screen
  2. Select the Default persona (created automatically from your account info)
  3. Upload your letterhead image (recommended size: 1200 x 188 pixels)
  4. Upload your signature image (recommended size: 208 x 112 pixels)
  5. Fill in your designer ID (license number) and contact information
  6. Review the defaults tab to set your preferred default values for common design fields
  7. Review the preferences tab to configure tank visibility and report options
  8. Click Save

2. Review Your Account

Click Account to verify your contact information is current. This information is used for system communications and may appear on invoices.

3. Create Your First Design

  1. Click Designs on the main screen
  2. Click New to start a new design
  3. The Design Wizard opens, starting with the Persona selection page
  4. Work through each wizard page, entering site data and making component selections
  5. On the Finish page, review the report, save, purchase, and download

Syncing Data

SewersOnline syncs your data (designs, clients, personas) between the web application and your desktop Sewers application (if you have one). Syncing happens automatically at start up and as needed during your session.

Browser Requirements

SewersOnline works in modern web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). For the best experience, use the latest version of your browser. JavaScript must be enabled.
