Siphon Plumbing
Navigation
The Siphon Plumbing page appears when your system uses a siphon (rather than a pump) to deliver effluent from the dosing tank to the absorption area. Siphon plumbing has different requirements than pump plumbing.
Minimum Discharge Hole Diameter
Siphons require a minimum orifice hole size of 5/16" (0.3125"). Available options:
- 5/16" (0.313")
- 11/32" (0.344")
- 3/8" (0.375")
Fittings
| Fitting | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 45-degree elbows | 0 | For direction changes (no 90s allowed) |
| Couplings | Auto-calculated | Initially estimated as one per 10 ft of delivery distance minus 1 |
The ball valve and inspection port are added automatically.
Tips
- If you need to make a sharp turn in the delivery line, use two 45-degree elbows instead of a single 90-degree.
