Filter Pump Plumbing

The Filter Pump Plumbing page appears when your system includes a secondary filter (such as Puraflo) that requires pumped delivery. This page captures fittings for two separate plumbing runs:

  1. Tank to Filter (inflow) — the 2" pressure line from the dosing pump to the filter inlet
  2. Filter to Dosing Tank (outflow) — the 4" gravity return line from the filter outlet back to the dosing/discharge tank

Tank to Filter (2" Inflow)

This is the pressurized delivery line from the dosing pump to the filter modules.

Fitting Default Notes
90-degree elbows 2 Minimum 2: one to exit the tank, one in the supply manifold
45-degree elbows 3 For direction changes along the route
Couplings Auto-calculated Estimated as one per 10 ft of distance minus 1

A quick-connect fitting (1 required) is added automatically.

Filter to Dosing Tank (4" Outflow)

This is the gravity return line carrying filtered effluent from the filter outlet back to the dosing or discharge tank.

Fitting Default Notes
90-degree elbows 1 Minimum 1 in the outflow manifold
45-degree elbows 2 For direction changes along the route
Couplings Auto-calculated Estimated as one per 10 ft of distance minus 1

Preserving Previous Selections

If you navigate back to this page and the upstream distances (tank-to-filter and filter-to-dosing-tank) have not changed, your previous fitting counts are preserved. If distances changed, defaults are recalculated.

Tips

  • The inflow line uses a 2" diameter; the outflow uses 4". These are fixed by the filter system design and cannot be changed.
  • The outflow is gravity-driven — fittings on the return line do not add pump head, but excessive fittings can slow drainage.
