Client Mailing

The Client Mailing page determines who receives the mailed design package. This sets the address for the mailing label included in the file record.

Options

Option Description
Same as client Mail to the permittee from the Client Permittee page
Same as billing contact Mail to the billing contact (only available if a separate billing contact was entered)
Another person Opens the client editor to enter or look up a different recipient
No mailing label No mailing label is generated — select this if you deliver the design in person or electronically

Billing Contact Option

The “Same as billing contact” option is only enabled when a separate billing contact was entered on the Client Billing page. If the billing contact is the same as the permittee (or no billing contact was set), this option is disabled.

Client Editor

When “Another person” is selected, the client search and editor appears, allowing you to search your existing client list or enter a new mailing address.

When “No mailing label” is selected, the client editor is hidden.

Validation

This page always passes validation — all options are valid, including “No mailing label.”

Effect on Downstream Pages

  • File Record — the mailing label recipient address is included in the file record document on the Finish page
  • Design data — the MailTo field stores the selected contact for future reference

Tips

  • If you typically mail designs to the SEO or 3rd party rather than the client, use “Another person” and enter or look up the agency’s mailing address.
  • Select “No mailing label” for designs delivered electronically to skip mailing label generation entirely.
